It was a desire to offer a creative, holistic approach to supporting people that initially drew me to occupational therapy. After graduating in 1987, I initially worked in psychiatry and then specialised in paediatrics. I am passionate about empowering children, teens and adults to find ways to overcome barriers to optimal functioning and to build confidence and resilience along their journey. This equips them to face life’s challenges more calmly and constructively, with less overwhelm and anxiety, so that they are more available to participate in all areas of life with greater ease and enjoyment.
Throughout my 30+ years’ of experience, I have continued to add tools to my toolbox so that I can best support my clients with their individual needs. I have a B.Sc(Hons) in Occupational Therapy with a Sensory Integration Certification, I am a Tomatis (Sound Therapy) Practitioner, and Interactive Metronome Provider, I have a Diploma in Solutions Focussed Hypnotherapy (DSFH), I am a Hypno4Children ™ practitioner, and I am a mother of two adult sons.
