Miriam Manela Frankel OTR/L CMLD CTC is a renowned occupational behavioral therapist with over two decades of experience. She is certified as a Level 4 Tomatis® Consultant, a Therapeutic Listening™ Provider, and an Manual Lymphatic Drainage practitioner, with additional advanced training in Sensory Integration, Attachment Theory, Neuro-Developmental Treatment, and Reflex Integration.
Miriam is celebrated for her unique ability to demystify challenging childhood behaviors. She developed the Thrive Method—a clinical framework that blends sensory, behavioral, and developmental interventions to uncover and address the root of each child’s challenges. She is known for her ability to translate complex clinical reasoning into practical, creative, and effective solutions for families.
Miriam is the author of The Parent-Child Dance, a resource that has transformed how parents and professionals understand behavior and connection. She has received numerous awards, including the WCBS Women’s Achievement Award and the “Top Doctor in New Jersey” award for five consecutive years. Miriam has also served in leadership roles for both NJOTA and AOTA.

The Thrive Group is a multidisciplinary therapy center founded by Miriam Manela Frankel, OTR/L CMLD CTC. The center specializes in helping children, teens, and families navigate behavioral, emotional, sensory, and developmental challenges through an integrated, whole-child approach.
At the heart of the center’s approach is the Thrive Method, which incorporates the Tomatis® Method alongside a range of evidence-informed tools including reflex integration, sensory processing, emotional regulation strategies, and parent coaching.
Our sensory gyms and warm, engaging spaces are designed to promote growth through play, movement and connection. We work closely with parents, caregivers, educators and healthcare providers to ensure progress carries over into daily life.
