OttawaTherapy.org has focused on the effective application of The TOMATIS® Method in the area of emotional disorders and/ or emotional growth for clients. Gerald F. Joy is a Clinical Social Worker (RSW), Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT) and a Level one Tomatis® Method Practitioner.

Gerald F. Joy is under licence with the company TOMATIC DEVELOPMENT S.A., owner of the Tomatis® and Talksup® brands. Please note that Tomatis® Method and Talksup® program are not treatments for any known disease, nor means of formulating a diagnosis for any medical or psychological disorder.

Rather, The Tomatis® Method is used widely as an adjunct to regular therapies. The Method’s well-known effect of cortical stimulation creates a readiness and an energy that increases the potential effect of the overall therapy. The client’s listening intent is enhanced, and clients are better able to communicate their thoughts and difficulties.
